Michael’s story started when he founded Dell with $1000 in 1984 at the age of 19. In 1992, Michael became the youngest CEO ever to earn a ranking on the Fortune 500. Known and admired for his astute business vision and bold moves, Michael took Dell private in 2013, setting the stage to architect the largest technology deal in history with the combination of Dell and EMC in 2016.

In 1998, Michael formed MSD Capital, and in 1999, he and his wife established the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation to provide philanthropic support to a variety of global causes.

Michael is an honorary member of the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum and is an executive committee member of the International Business Council. He is also a member of the Technology CEO Council, the U.S. Business Council and the Business Roundtable. He serves on the governing board of the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad, India and is a board member of Catalyst. Michael also served as the United Nations Foundation's first Global Advocate for Entrepreneurship.

Jeremy Burton is the Chief Marketing Officer of Dell, directly responsible for the global marketing structure, strategy, and all aspects of Dell’s enterprise marketing efforts including brand, communications, digital and field & channel marketing. In addition to his marketing responsibilities, Burton leads Corporate Development where is responsible for M&A and venture capital investment activity. He is based at Dell’s offices in Santa Clara, California. Burton joined Dell through its combination with EMC, where he served as President, Products and Marketing. In this role, he was responsible for product divisions within EMC’s Information Infrastructure business, including Product Strategy, R&D, Operations, CTO Office, Global Alliances and Global Marketing. Burton joined EMC in 2010 as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer and extended EMC's presence and relevance on the world stage, building and guiding EMC's global reputation and brand. Prior to EMC, Burton has held several senior leadership roles including President and CEO of Serena Software, Group President of Symantec’s Security and Data Management business and Executive Vice President of the Data Management Group and Chief Marketing Officer at VERITAS. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly a decade at Oracle, culminating in the role of Senior Vice President of Product and Services Marketing. Burton holds a bachelor's degree in information systems engineering from the University of Surrey, England.

Jeff Clarke is vice-chairman of Operations and president of Client Solutions for Dell. He’s responsible for the company’s global supply chain and end-user computing organizations. In this role, he oversees global manufacturing, procurement and supply chain activities, as well as the engineering, design, development, sales and marketing of computer desktops, notebooks, workstations, cloud client computing and end-user computing software solutions.

Jeff joined Dell in 1987 as a quality engineer and has served in a variety of engineering and management roles. He moved into product development in 1989 and was promoted to director of desktop development in 1995. In 1997, Jeff was responsible for launching the Dell Precision workstation product line. Subsequently, Jeff became vice-president and general manager within the relationship product group, overseeing the OptiPlex, Latitude and Precision lines of business. Under his leadership, all three businesses achieved No. 1 worldwide share positions.

Prior to joining Dell, Jeff served as a reliability and product engineer at Motorola, Inc. He serves on the College of Engineering Advisory Council for his alma mater, the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1986.

David Goulden

David Goulden is President of the Infrastructure Solutions Group at Dell EMC, responsible for the global business that includes servers, storage, networking, converged infrastructure and solutions.

A 35-year veteran of the IT industry, Goulden became CEO of EMC Information Infrastructure, EMC Corporation’s largest business by revenue and employees, in January 2014. He served as president and chief operating officer of the business unit since 2012, responsible for engineering and product development, sales and customer operations, services, marketing and G&A functions. He was EMC’s CFO from 2006 until 2014, responsible for financial operations of EMC Corporation’s consolidated business, including financial planning and reporting, balance sheet management, investment banking and investor relations. He helped make mergers and acquisitions a core competency at EMC by playing major roles in more than 75 acquisitions as well as business model innovations, such as the corporate structure of EMC majority-owned VMware and the formation of VCE. In 2011, analysts surveyed by Institutional Investor magazine named him the best CFO in IT hardware.

Before becoming EMC’s CFO, Goulden led EMC's Sales and Customer Operations worldwide, including Global Sales in all theaters as well as Global Channels, Alliances and Partners. Under his direction, EMC rapidly transformed into a solutions-oriented technology company with a segmented go-to-market strategy and a partner-friendly selling model. Prior to that, he oversaw Marketing and New Business Development for EMC.

Goulden joined EMC in 2002 from Getronics, a global IT services provider, where he was a member of the board of management, president and chief operating officer Americas and APJ. Prior to Getronics acquiring Wang Global in 1999, he held executive, strategy and marketing roles during a decade with Wang, after a decade with Unisys before that.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from Durham University (England) and an executive MBA degree from Cranfield School of Management (England).

He has been named one of the 100 most influential people by TIME magazine and one of the Foreign Policy’s Top Global Thinkers.

He has explored how ideas spread in the Tipping Point, decision making in Blink, and the roots of success in Outliers. With his latest book, David and Goliath, he examines our understanding of the advantages of disadvantages, arguing that we have underestimated the value of adversity and over-estimated the value of privilege.

He has been a staff writer for The New Yorker since 1996. He has won a national magazine award and been honored by the American Psychological Society and the American Sociological Society. He was previously a reporter for The Washington Post.

Writer, editor, publisher and IT visionary Kevin Kelly is the author of the New York Times best-seller The Inevitable: Understanding the 12 Technological Forces That Will Shape Our Future. At this year’s Dell World, Kelly will unveil an optimistic roadmap for the future, showing how the coming changes in our lives — from virtual reality in the home to an on-demand economy to artificial intelligence in all we manufacture — will revolutionize the way we buy, work, learn and communicate with each other.

Kevin’s other books include The Sliver Cord, Cool Tools: A Catalog of Possibilities, What Technology Wants, New Rules for the New Economy and Out of Control. In 1993 he helped launch WIRED magazine, where he currently serves as Senior Maverick. He also edits and publishes the popular Cool Tools website, which recommends hand tools, machines, books, software, websites and ideas.

Aarti Shahani is a Tech Reporter on NPR's Business Desk, where she covers breaking news, and does investigative and enterprise reporting.

Since joining NPR's tech beat in May 2014, Shahani has reported from five countries and covered the world's biggest tech events, including the International Consumer Electronics Show.

In her first year, Shahani has shed light on hidden stories, such as the role of cyberstalking in domestic abuse, and the underground world of hackers. Shahani's reports have taken her to unlikely places – including a secretive Hollywood film set using drone cameras.

Before coming to NPR as a Kroc Fellow in 2011-2012, Shahani started a non-profit in her native New York City to help immigrant families facing deportation after September 11th. She notes she first met NPR as a source, pitching NPR a story about a detainee who'd died because of deliberate medical neglect. Of her unusual path to journalism, she notes, "Basically, I spent my 20s with prisoners. I'm spending my 30s with billionaires in Silicon Valley. And I've learned: People are just people."

Her reporting has been honored with a regional award from the Society of Professional Journalists for "Finding Hidden Genius"; a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for "On Immigration, High Tech and Ag Don't Meet, Literally"; and an Investigative Reporters & Editors Award for "Post Mortem: Death Investigation in America" with ProPublica, NPR, and Frontline.

Shahani received a Master in Public Policy degree from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, with generous support from the University and the Paul & Daisy Soros fellowship. She has a bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago.

Before Zuora, Tzuo was one of the 'original forces' at salesforce.com, joining as employee number 11. In his 9 years at salesforce.com, Tzuo built salesforce.com's original billing system and held a variety of executive roles in technology, marketing, and strategy organizations, including building out the product management & marketing organization, serving as Chief Marketing Officer for two years, and most recently as Chief Strategy Officer.

Tzuo holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University and a master's in business administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He was named CMO of the Year Finalist by the CMO Council and BusinessWeek Magazine while at salesforce.com and is on DestinationCRM's Who's Who in CRM list. He is on the Board of Directors for Network for Good.
